Aleppo soap, originating from Aleppo, Syria, is a symbol of tradition and craftsmanship, with a history spanning centuries. It is still produced today using traditional hot-process soap-making, where ingredients are boiled, though the cold-process method is now also used.
After production, the soap is left to age for 6 to 9 months in large, cave-like drying rooms. During this time, the vibrant green color of the fresh soap develops a golden outer layer as it cures.
